Visions of Long Beach in NY Newsday Oct 13, 2008

My husband Tim and I have been marketing maniacs. We walk the boardwalk giving out postcards. We worked the Irish Day parade and the Long Beach Fall Harvest Festival. I did a book signing there with my first 100 advance copies. Before we left on sunday we were sold out. Newsday came to interview me about the book's story on Saturday. On Sunday a reporter came to take photographs of me while I was signing books and on Monday there was a half page about Visions of Long Beach on page A18. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't afford to buy that space and there it was, a big giant gift for putting this book together. Thank you Kenny, Nia and Julie from Newsday. So now I am getting an ordering surge. I'm thrilled to death but fear my buyers won't be thrilled with the wait. The bulk shipment is scheduled to arrive in the third week of November. Thankfully before the holidays. So please be patient. I am keeping detailed records and preparing shipping labels in advance. As soon as they arrive they will be delivered.

Marching Bagpipers- Irish Day Parade 2007

Irish Day 2008

In light of recent confirmation that the advance copies won't be arriving until Monday the 6th we have still decided to go ahead and reserve a table anyway. We will have our 5x7 post cards and a 10 inch screen at our table displaying the book's contents. So Please stop by! We will have oreo's too :)

Also, Those brave soles who take the leap and pre-order will save tax and shipping. We will cover both. The book price on Irish Day will be $45.00 flat so we don't have to make a lot of change. (That was Tim's (the husband) idea.
